Hello. This is Bobby Clanton again on the Whatever Happened to America broadcast. I hope you've listened to some of the other podcasts that we have out there. A lot of things going on in our world, you know, a lot of things that we excuse me don't prefer, but today I'm going to talk to you about equity. I'm going to talk to you about fairness. About people and victims of criminals who don't get fair treatment in this country. I just listened to the Carmela Anthony uh verdict. I don't know what how much how much time they're going to give him. But the fact is that I I listen to these things as I'm sure that you do. Uh on your TV, you see all this. And it's incredible that we have a system that releases these criminals and thugs back on the streets, and they have multiple, multiple violations. Some of them have killed other people, and they turn them out. And um, and I'm thinking to myself, there was this debate today about this particular uh case, and I heard the news guys, uh, they were they were talking about it. This was on Fox News, and they were talking about what the penalties should be. And I'm driving along in my truck, and I'm thinking to myself, why is there a question about that? I'm trying to, uh, you know, I have tried to reason in my mind, I've tried to reason and see where is it in any form of logic and fairness that we think that we should be careful about the punishment or the penalty for somebody who's killed somebody for no reason. When you go back to the Bible when Noah came off of the Ark, the very first thing that God told him was this if you take a life, then you give a life. And so therefore, uh I listened to the lawyers talk about this issue. And one lawyer was saying, Well, you know, if uh I were the defense lawyer, I think his mother, the uh Anthony's mother, was to be put on the stand in the sentencing phase. And so she said, this lawyer said, Well, I think that they should have put everybody on there that knows him, uh, that knows uh him personally, all this kind of thing. And and I'm thinking, I'm I'm like uh hollering at the radio, and I'm thinking to myself, are you out of your mind? So what you're gonna tell me is this this innocent um track guy that was killed in cold blood by this guy with a five-inch, well, uh a knife with a five-inch blade on it. And the reason for the the length of the blade is, and these thugs know that, is that a small blade is not going to be able to penetrate deep enough to penetrate that victim's heart. And you're telling me that really what we should be focused on is to make sure that this guy gets as little time as possible? Lord help us. I mean, what have we become? He should be taken out and executed. Give him one appeal, and if that appeal fails, he needs to be taken out and executed immediately. I don't care what his age is. He was old enough to know better. He went there with the intention of killing that victim, that boy. He went there with that intention. Otherwise, he would not have gone there. He went there to pick a fight. And he immediately, immediately, when there was a disagreement and the other boy never touched him, people testified to that and so forth. So, so he goes there and he with the intention of picking a fight, and just so happened he was black and the victim was white. And that's another probably discussion for another day. But the fact is that he wanted to pick that fight and he intended to stab that boy. Now, I don't know what kind of a family background somebody like that comes from. I'm sure, quite sure, that there probably wasn't a father in the house. Uh, and nobody ever wants to admit that, that these kids are raised uh without a father's influence. They're raised mostly in in the black families, they're raised uh by the mothers and the grandmothers. And and and they have no guidance and the government nor anybody else ever wants to look at that problem and say, you know what? We need to require that these men who birth these babies stay in these families, or at least they don't stay there, that they take care of them. But that's not the case. And so the discussion goes on with the lawyers about what they think the sentencing would be. And so I'm thinking to myself, well, I mean, what is a life worth? You know, we need to start asking that in this country. I mean, we got this Luigi guy that shot this insurance, the head of this insurance company down in cold blood. And he's some kind of a folk hero. Here's what I do know. I know this both from studying the Bible and from uh God's laws and rules and all those kind of things and human nature is outlined in the Bible. I know this thing, I know this. This all started with the abortion. This started with killing innocent children before they're born. And so as you progress along all this many years since 1973, people become numb to the fact that God is the one who gives life and God should be the one that takes life. And so instead, we step in between God and God's purposes and decide that we're going to decide who lives and dies, whether this is like this thug or whether it's like uh anybody else who takes it, doesn't matter what race, where they take a life, an innocent life for no reason. And so we have lost respect for life. And parallel with that, but even actually before that, we have lost respect for God. But God told Noah that life is important enough that if you take a life innocently, you need to give your life up. And ladies and gentlemen, if you listen to this podcast, you may agree with me or you may disagree with me, but I have to tell you that that's what God said, that's what he meant. I I I challenge anybody out there to go back and do a study of the crime statistics. Let's just say for the last 10 years, 15 years, go back and study those crime statistics and tell me what percentage of those people who've taken lives innocently were felons when they took that life. Or even more, check and see how many of them have taken lives before, or how many of them have assaulted people innocently, and you come back with those numbers and you tell me that this system is fair. This system is not fair. I'll tell you who this system is not is not fair to. It's not fair to innocent victims, it's not fair to the people who've lost their daughters and their sons or their mothers and their fathers to some thug or some murderer, and he gets to live his life with TV and all of that and being fed every day life in prison. All of the prisons that are holding people that have been convicted of first-degree murder should be emptied, and there should be a continuous period of execution and get rid of all of these murderers, send them to their maker, and let God sort that out. In other words, if they've can if they've converted in prison, that's fine, that's fine. But God's law says you pay for that life with your life. It's not my law, it's God's law. And so through a disrespectful law and a disrespectful life, what you have here is a horrendous situation. People who will never be see their children, the these college students and all that are murdered by illegal immigrants, thugs, whatever. They're murdered by them, their life has taken away, but yet we spend all this money and time. And I ask questions all the time. How is it, why is it that it takes 30, 25, 30, 35 years to execute somebody who's been sentenced to death? I'll tell you why it is. I'll tell you exactly why it is. Because in most cases, the government is paying for these lawyers to pursue these appeals. It makes hundreds and hundreds of thousands of dollars. That should be cut off. You know, once the first appeal has failed, the money should be cut off. That's what should be done. And these lawyers, they know from the beginning, they know from the beginning that they are not going to win those cases. Why do they worry? Why should they worry about that? They keep sending the bill to the county or the city or whoever's paying it, and they get paid. And why does it take 30 years? Why do you feed somebody for 30 years when you got on on our streets veterans that need places to live? You've got people uh who uh elderly people who are in need of food and other help, but yet you you feed the murderers, and for the laugh of me, ladies and gentlemen, for the laugh of me, I cannot come up with a justifiable reason for that. Uh in fact, I can't come up with the logic behind it. So I'm thinking these people who are so adamant about protecting the uh the murderers and the thieves and the thugs, I mean, what is there behind that? I can tell you what's not behind it, okay? I can tell you what's not behind it. Is this nonsense, and it is nonsense, that these people can somehow be redeemed. I will sit here today and tell you that the only entity in the universe that can redeem anybody is God Himself through Jesus Christ. That I do know. But when you have somebody who has 15, 20 felonies, the little lady that was the little young lady that was killed in North Carolina by this, for no reason, this thug sitting behind her. He was a multiple felon, had been arrested multiple times. And people can say all they want about fairness and all this kind of thing. Uh, I will repeat this again. I'll tell you who it's not fair to. It's not fair to the victims, it's not fair to their families, it's not fair to the agony that they have to suffer until the day they die from losing a lost one through violence like that when it was absolutely unnecessary. What I say is, I'll tell you what, why don't we just clean this up all together? We give them one appeal, you get to exhaust your appeals one time, make sure it's done, and then what you can do is you bring the family of the victim in and let them see him executed. Uh, my personal preference is executing them the way that they kill their victims. And I know some of you are gonna think, well, you must be out of your mind. I actually am not out of my mind. The fact is that um God says very clearly, there's a payment to be made here. And I'll tell you this, nobody's paying. Can you can can anybody with any common sense come and tell me that, okay, well, a guy spends 30, 40, 50 years of his life in prison being fed every day, has medical care, all of this stuff, right? And he's the murderer. While at the same time, you've got families there, have lost children, have lost mothers, fathers, grandmothers, grandfathers, and they've got to suffer through that every day. Can anybody if anybody's listening to this, does anybody think that that's fair? Do you think that that's equitable? The taxpayers pay for this, but there's no punishment for the crime. There's no adequate payment being made here. They didn't pay a life for a life. I have to tell you that I think setting up being fed and cared for and all this thing for 35, 40 years, that's not equitable. And I don't care who says it. We have drifted in this country to the point to where we there's no punishment. In my opinion, what we consider to be punishment for crime in this country is nothing. The statistics have come out repeatedly and said that it's two or three percent of the people in this country probably commit 80 to 90 percent of the crimes. So what is the answer to that problem? Lock them away, and the murderers execute them. There are multiple, multiple, I can you can check the records where these judges have turned these guys loose who have killed people, or either they serve 15 years and they get out and they go kill somebody else. Everybody would be, anybody with any knowledge of this whatsoever would be afraid to look and see how many lives would have been saved had you executed that murderer when you were supposed to? Who's gonna explain that to the families? Who's going to explain the equity of that to the family? Right? You're gonna go and say, Well, listen, uh, we finally executed him. My question would be to them, is that gonna bring my child back? Is that gonna bring back the child of the person that he with that that child that he murdered after he got out from murdering the first person? How can you explain that? There is no there is no venue, there is no place that you can explain that, that it works. In the 20s and 30s, when people committed murder, they were usually executed usually within a two, three months of them being convicted. They didn't put anybody in jail for life. That didn't start till sometime in the 50s or 60s. They executed people. And they executed people in the states where they committed the murders, right? And so there we are. And so we're living in a country that, number one, does not respect life. We know that by the number of babies that have been killed uh in this country since 1973. And this was all authorized by a judge that uh I believe that he is burning in hell today. And I'll tell you something else. I believe he's probably seeing the face of every one of those babies that he that he had the responsibility of killing when he signed off on that. Every single one of those justices that signed off on this, they're all dead now, as far as I know. And I can guarantee you this unless they repented of this and were saved before they died, they're in hell today, and they're paying the price for those innocent lives they took. And listen, whether it's an innocent baby, whether it's an innocent teenager, where it's an innocent mother and father, grandmother, grandfather, it doesn't matter. Life is precious. God says it's precious, that means it's precious. God Himself spoke directly to Mo uh to Noah, and He told him that. And I don't care. All of this this ridiculous psychology they add to it, I was mistreated as a child. Give me a break. Listen, I came up in a time where my grandparents had some of the hardest times that there's ever been in this country through the depression and all that kind of thing. To a person, I cannot think of any single one of them that ever killed anybody. I can't think of a single one of them that ever robbed anybody, ever abused anybody. So that is nonsense. It's stupidity, is what it is. And these psychiatrists that say, well, a person can be uh redeemed. Well, I'll tell you this. I personally don't think that's possible for somebody who's murdered somebody for no reason. And if you ask me if I think people can be forgiven for that, I would say yes. But they still need to pay for their life by their with their life, because there's nowhere in the Bible where you can prove that once a person has been redeemed of that, that they still don't have to pay. I don't think that command was given to Moses, was ever withdrawn. I don't think there were ever any conditions put on it. I think he said what he meant, he meant what he said, and we're paying the consequences for it now because of the fact that we don't follow those rules. And the fact is, the inflation and all that you see here now, the outrageous prices, all of that stuff, it is all caused by our disobedience. Let me tell you that um life is one thing that is so precious. It's certainly precious to the person who has it. But life is precious to all those who have families, who have loved ones, all of those things. We've come to the point in this country where you've got a Democrat Party, right? Who basically what would we call 'em? I I call most of 'em, especially the ones I see on TV, they're basically heathens. They don't believe in anything except things that are against God's laws. It could be transgenderism, it could be all these things we're given names to that is ungodly and is not accepted by God. Uh, but this is this is the thing. Life is precious. And if life is not respected, if it's not respected, then a respect for life is very difficult to come up with. In other words, it all becomes, well, yeah, let's uh let's just kill 'em. Um let's go with the intention of killing. Which I think came in this Carmel Anthony thing. But we need our preachers, our teachers, our spiritual leaders, they need to get off of their chairs and off of their laziness and start preaching the gospel. If they don't preach the gospel, which really hasn't happened except in a few places in the last 30 or 40 years, maybe even going back 50 years, I told a class the other night that when this abortion ruling came down uh in 1973, I don't remember how long it was before I even heard it talked about in my church. I'll tell you that a disregard for God, a disregard for his principles, a disregard for the way he structured this universe with respect, respect for life, decency, and those kind of things. This uh a world without this is going to end up being a world in chaos, which in my opinion is where we are right now. Now, I look at these things and I study the end times exclusively. We do we have been doing exhaustive studies of this on Sunday night, and we have lost our way. And in my opinion, we have lost our way because of the failure of the evangelical churches to preach the gospel. Preachers are afraid to preach the gospel because they want to keep their jobs. Now, I don't know what the answer to that is. I d I I partially know what it is. If you trust God with that, God will take care of you. Now, you may not be at that church long, but He'll provide something else for you. We've got to start trusting what God says. We've got to start trusting the fact that if you are a truth teller, if you are out there preaching the truth, that God's going to honor that. You know, but it doesn't happen. Uh the vast majority of the churches now, we follow patterns and programs and and different things by not, you know, uh trying not to offend people. I have to tell you that what I have read in scripture since I was saved in the mid-60s and have been teaching for, I don't know, 50 years or so, I would say this. What I've seen here is I've seen a a slow, how do we say, uh exiting the preaching of the truth. And also, along with that, it says the there's a there's a passage, I believe, in Deuteronomy, where it says, when the uh when the wicked go unpunished, they go crazy. And that's exactly where we are now. And so we don't hear preachers preaching that. Because somebody's gonna come up and say, here's what they're gonna say. In case you've never heard this, here's what they're gonna say. Well, listen, preacher, you know, Jesus is love, and he wants us to love everybody. I can't tell you how defective part of that statement is. Jesus is love. He loved us enough to come and give his life for us. But you cannot find one place in Scripture, and I challenge people to do this. You cannot find one place in Scripture, New Testament or Old Testament, where God said, okay, when we talk about the love of God, that means that God has abandoned all of his requirements when it comes to sin, crime, murdering, rape, all these things. It's just simply not in there. The love of God draws us to himself, but the world will never be drawn to that because the world is evil. And just as God, when he looked down on the pre-flood earth, and he said, he looked down there and he saw that uh that the intentions, full intentions of all those who lived on the earth prior to the flood was only evil continually. And we are there now. Jesus said, as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be prior to the coming of the Son of Man. Listen, ladies and gentlemen, I hope, you know, there are gonna be a lot of this that you find to be hardcore. I'll tell you what, I've never, I mean, uh, I call it the way I see it. And I believe that the word of God says this that if you want to be saved, God will save you. If you will commit yourself to Him and repent of your sin, God will save you. There is no doubt about that. If you call upon the name of the Lord to save you, the Bible says he will save you. There's no doubt about that. But you cannot mistreat the word of God, bending it, making it softer, making it any of these things, because the word of God is the truth, and it does not deviate at all from the truthfulness of the nature of God and what he expects out of his people, out of his creation. You can't do that. That's sacrilege. You can't do it. And I'm afraid that what we've done is we have not laid down as churches, as teachers, preachers, and those who lead people, we have not laid down a standard so people can see very clearly what we're up against and what needs to be done. That is the sad thing. That is the that that is a tragedy, and that comes and lays at the threshold of the church, of the evangelical church. We've taught so much love that we've forgotten that God is also a judge. And we've forgotten the rules, we've forgotten that respect for life. And listen, Satan is not stupid. You know, he uses He uses our own scripture against us. He's saying, well, you know, the murderer, the robber, the thug, all these people can be saved. And so we don't want to offend them, we want to bring them into the church. I've heard this multiple times in my life when you ask preachers about this. Well, if we can get them into the church, now I've I've asked a few times, didn't get much of an answer, but I've been asked a few times, well, or or told, listen, well, you know, if we can get them in here, there's a chance we can get them saved. Now, my question was this are you saying you compromise the word of God to get them in there? Does that mean that once you get them in there, you're going to preach the truth? Of course it doesn't mean that. They they never do that. They keep preaching the same thing because it's easy. Everybody's fine, you know, on days like today, when it's 100 degrees outside, you come to church on Sunday, it's cool in there, very comfortable with very nice people. There's no doubt about that. But the fact is, the fact is, and I'll begin to close on this. The fact is that those people that are sitting out there need guidance. They need guidance. They need somebody to tell them what God expects. They need somebody to dig in there and get the unabashed truth, the real scripture, what he's talking about, what he means for us spiritually, what he means for us in our lives, all of those things. It's what we call in our teaching the biblical food. We need to be fed the truth, then we live off of that truth, which is our spiritual food. And if we do that, we can make a difference in our families, our communities, and our churches. Well, I'm going to terminate it there. I don't know if anybody's listening to these. If you are, you can you can respond to uh the gathering cloud uh at buzzprout.com and we'll get that email and be glad to mention you on the podcast if you're listening. But if you are, I thank you. And if you have any questions, please feel free to write us and may God bless you in the very best way until we come together again.
